Personal Information you provide when registering or publishing a profile:

• Name, country, city (from GPS), profession, education, hobbies
• Profile photo and additional images
• Social media handles and links
• Online store links and community group links
• Bio and personal summary
• Email address (if provided)

Automatically collected information:

• GPS location coordinates (only when you grant permission) — we store only your city name, never your exact address
• IP address (used for approximate location in search logs)
• Browser type and device information
• Pages visited and search queries
• Session and usage data via cookies

II. How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your public profile in search results
• To show nearby profiles to other users based on GPS location
• To generate an AI-powered profile summary via Amazon Bedrock
• To crawl and collect your public social media content for display
• To process search credit payments via Stripe and PayPal
• To send you in-app messages including moderation notices
• To detect and prevent fraudulent profiles and impersonation
• To improve platform performance and user experience

III. Location Data

We request your GPS location to improve search relevance by showing you nearby profiles first. We only store your city name derived from your coordinates. We never store or share your exact GPS coordinates beyond the initial location detection request. You can skip location access at any time, though this limits some features.

IV. Children's Privacy

GlimsePlatform is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at chris@glimseplatform.com and we will delete it immediately.

V. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — for hosting, storage (S3) and AI processing (Bedrock)
• Stripe / PayPal — for payment processing only
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — for reverse geocoding your GPS coordinates to a city name
• YouTube Data API — to fetch public channel statistics for profiles with YouTube handles

All profile information you publish is publicly visible to all visitors of GlimsePlatform by design, as that is the purpose of the platform.

VI. Your Rights

• Access: View all your published profiles in your Profile page
• Delete: Delete individual profiles or all your data in Settings → Delete All My Data
• Opt out of location: Skip location permission at any time
• Request data removal: Email chris@glimseplatform.com
• Marketing opt-out: You can unsubscribe from any marketing emails at any time

VII. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard measures including SSL/HTTPS encryption, AWS security infrastructure, and secure database access controls. Your Digital ID is your only login key — keep it private. We will never ask for your Digital ID via email or chat.

VIII. Cookies

We use cookies to maintain your login session and store your preferences such as location permission status and onboarding tour completion. You can decline cookies using the cookie banner, though this may affect functionality.

IX. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via in-app message or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of GlimsePlatform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
